Grain fed AND pasture-raised lamb, fresh and natural from the farm upon which it was raised is a rare treat you won't find in the grocery store.
We sell naturally raised lamb for slaughter. Our lambs range freely on the farm. They consume ground corn, orchard grass, fescue and lespedeza pasture, alfalfa hay when available. The lambs are also supplemented with essential minerals.
Because of careful selection, breeding and husbandry practices, our Suffolk cross lambs are of excellent carcass conditioining, thus providing superior cuts. We routinely hear this often from our customers. There's a reason that Suffolk sheep, the largest breed of sheep in America, are considered the "complete meat sheep." If you have never tried lamb before please give the "complete meat" a try. There is notjhing like dining with family and friends over properly prepared lamb. To see the exceptional health benefits of lamb compared to other meats and for succulent lamb recipes you may visit the American Lamb Board website (http://americanlambboard.org/). Nutritional information and receipes are also available on this site and upon request.
We will have Locker Lambs usually available August through October each year. There is a limited supply and customers usually place their orders early. In keeping with Arkansas law, we are unable to sell meat directly to the customer. We sell live lambs only by the pound (please call for the price which varies each year according to annual grain costs, etc.). If requested, we can make arrangements for delivery to and sluaghter with our local processing plant for you. The customer bears ultimate responsibility for the processing cost and pick-up. Processing adds about $50.00 to the live lamb price and is paid directly to the processor upon pick-up. A 120 pound lamb will dress out at about 66 pounds (55%) of actual meat.
Since supply is limited and the local processing plant usually requires as much as 2 months advance notice, you will need to order as soon as possible. There will be a $50.00 deposit required to place a lamb order and it will be applied to the final purchase price of the lamb.
If you have a specific weight in mind for holidays or special cultural observances we may be able to accomodate you with early notification. Special orders will be priced accordingly.

The enormous productivity of industrial agriculture cannot be denied, but neither can its enormous ecological, economic, and human costs, which are bound eventually to damage its productivity.
